The Dragon's Whisper
A memoir posted exclusively on this website in weekly installments.
Liesel believes she has found true love in the southern charmer, Giovanni Versace. But despite Giovanni's gift for gab, the stories he weaves hide mysteries and deceptions that go much deeper than his pretentious name, or his eyebrow obsession.

Chapter Sixteen Coming Friday, June, 1st!!!

Chapter Fourteen: Bad.
When training ends things get bad.

Chapter Thirteen: Shopping with the Dragon
Giovanni is playing games in which Liesel wins and loses.

Chapter Twelve: Who is Buying the Ring?
The tension that has boiled for weeks finally explodes in a showdown between Liesel and her parents, while Giovanni is thirty minutes away eating pancakes.

Chapter Eleven: Ghost Town of Doom
When Liesel loses her job, she thinks it is the perfect opportunity to take a three-day road trip to investigate local colleges. She is wrong.

Chapter Ten: The Stray
A dance club, a disapproving security guard, an unhappy mother, if Liesel can only keep things floating until the two weeks end...

Chapter Nine: To Love and to Love Not
It has only been a week and Giovanni is dividing the tribe into the loves and the love nots.

Chapter Eight: "We Know What You Are"
Giovanni leaves a hole in Liesel's life for six months, but before he returns to Salt Lake, the hurricane begins to brew.

Chapter Seven: I'm Sorry, my Rude-Gauge is Broken
After a Janet Jackson concert and an extra long ride home, Liesel still thinks everything is fine, but that's because her rude-gauge is broken.

Chapter Six: On the Road to Jerk-ville
One bad decision after another puts Liesel squarely on the road to Jerk-ville.

Chapter Five: A Succulent Little Hen

It's that time of year, the lease is up and decisions have to be made. If Liesel moves back home she could afford a car payment, but that would be the end of party central, and it would take her farther away from Giovanni, her new crush.

Chapter Four: Dancing in Love
Liesel's new roommates are more fun than a room full of dancing monkeys. And they dance better than monkeys too. To prove it, they go out every weekend to show off their moves.

Everywhere she looks, life is turning up daisies. All Liesel is missing is someone to hold hands with and smooch once in a while. As luck would have it, her number-one crush shows up one night on her way home from a lotion binge at Kmart.

Chapter Three: What's in a dream?

Liesel has turned eighteen, which means it's time to move out. It just so happens her new apartment is only a block away from her new friend, the enigmatic Giovanni.

But after having a strange dream, being handed a fertility goddess, and learning new information about her new friend, Liesel wonders where this strange new friendship will lead, and if she would be better off without it.

Chapter Two: Bowling Balls and Bunny Rabbits
Liesel's new friend, Giovanni, is not her type, but Liesel is pretty sure he's madly in love with her. Who wouldn't be? But seriously, she was pretty sure he was. Especially when he compared her with his female roommate, and made certain she knew he wasn't gay.

Chapter One: Meeting in the Elevator

A chance meeting in the dreaded elevator, leaves Liesel wondering if she might like elevators after all, and spoil the library hierarchy in the process.
